What Is Your Guide to Client Ratio?
We employ one guide per hunter unless other arrangements are made.
The August caribou hunts are typically 1 guide for every 2 or 3
hunters. Most hunters get their second caribou, too.
What Are Our Success Rates?
We expend every effort to assure your success. Historically, our
success rates are as follows: 100% for caribou and spring brown/grizzly
hunts and 95% for moose hunts.
Where Do I Purchase Tags & Licenses?
I am a licensed vendor, so you can purchase your license and tags
in camp. We accept personal checks or cash. Sorry, no credit cards.
If a hunter wants to take a second caribou or a wolf, we'll have
the tags available in camp.
What
About My Physical Condition?
This has a tremendous bearing on the outcome of your hunt.
If you are not in reasonable physical shape, your chances of success
may be appreciably reduced. There are many factors considered in
getting your game. Therefore, increase your own success by being
in good shape, knowing your capabilities and advising us of them
(including any physical limitations, special diets or medication).
What About Transportation?
Clients will need to book their own flights into Aniak, as well
as Alaska. Your local travel agent will be able to help you with
your travel arrangements at least as far as Anchorage. If you
need help with the Anchorage to Aniak leg of your travel, we'll
be glad to help. The arrival and departure days to and from camp
are not counted as hunting days.
How
Do I Get References?
We are happy to provide references on request, call us at (907)
688-1499 or e-mail
us.
